Firefighters equipped with two breathing apparatuses used a hose reel and a positive pressure ventilation unit to extinguish the flames.
The fire caused property damage, but officers confirmed that no one was injured.
Police have opened an investigation alongside Lancashire Fire and Rescue Services, believing the blaze had been “deliberately started”.

A Lancashire Police spokesperson said: ‘We are appealing for any relevant CCTV, doorbell or dash cam footage taken between 10pm and 11pm in the area.
âThis includes Fleetwood Road South, Amounterness Way and the area around the Norcross roundabout.
“If you live nearby or think you can help, please check your images and upload them.”
