Blackburn’s form in 2022 has been spotty, winning the Championship just three times since the start of the year, despite winning just one of their last seven in the English Second Division.

Tony MowbrayThe squad suffered a 2-0 loss to league leaders Fulham on Saturday but they are still in a strong position, collecting 57 points from 35 matches which left them fourth in the table , just five points behind second. -placed Huddersfield Town with a game in hand.

Blackburn’s form at a vital stage of the season will however be of concern to their supporters, especially as they are only three points clear of seventh-placed Sheffield United and could easily give up playoff places in the coming weeks if their disappointing form continues. .

Rovers have been excellent at home this season, collecting 36 points from 17 games, with only Middlesbrough (38) and Fulham (40) performing better in front of their own fans.

Blackburn have also lost just once to Millwall in the league since November 2012, as they recorded a 2-1 win when the two sides met in the corresponding fixture last season.

Millwall, however, will enter Tuesday’s contest full of confidence, having won each of their last five league games, including a 1-0 victory at Reading on Saturday afternoon.

A 37th-minute effort from Jake Cooper proved enough for the Lions to triumph at Berkshire, and the result moved them into 10th position in the table, with 52 points from their 34 games.

Millwall are actually just three points behind sixth-placed Middlesbrough with the race for playoff positions absolutely fascinating, and another victory in this game would further boost confidence in the side.

Team News

Blackburn will be missing again Ben Brereton Diaz, Dilan Markanday, Ian Poveda and Bradley Dack for Tuesday’s contest through injury.

Ryan Nyambe remains a doubt, having been absent against Fulham on Saturday, so Ryan Gilles could keep his place in the starting team.

Deyovaisio Zeefuik had to be substituted just 17 minutes into the clash at Craven Cottage, and the 23-year-old is now set to miss out, so Joe Rankin Costello could start, while Sam Gallagher could also be recalled.

As for Millwall, Daniel Ballard and Benik Afobe entered the starting line-up against Reading due to the absence of Shaun Hutchison and Mason Bennett through injury, and the pair are expected to retain their places.

Maikel Kieftenbeld, Sheyi Ojo, Tom Bradshaw and Ryan Leonard will also not be available for selection due to fitness issues.

Having suffered no new injuries or suspension issues against Reading on Saturday, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the same starting XI take the field against Blackburn here.

Possible Millwall starting lineup:

We say: Blackburn Rovers 2-2 Millwall

Millwall feel they are winning at the moment, but the same cannot be said for Blackburn, who have been underwhelming since the start of the year. Rovers have only lost three of their 17 home league games this season, however, and we can see an entertaining game produce a 2-2 draw here.
