New website aims to keep Lancashire homes warm

Chorley-based digital agency Bespoke has presented a new website for a local authority initiative to encourage and support home energy efficiency in Lancashire.

The Cozy Homes in Lancashire (CHiL) scheme covers all council-supported energy saving initiatives in the county.

It aims to provide an accessible and simple way to access grants from a variety of sources to fund new heating, insulation and renewable technology measures in domestic properties.

In partnership with 15 local authorities and promoted by Rhea Projects, Cozy Homes in Lancashire offers residents free access to central heating for the first time, gas hook-ups, affordable heating services, energy advice and support on energy measures that save money.

The website includes how-to videos, easy-to-navigate tips and links to the different types of help available, from the first central heating, to window and door upgrades, solar panels, various types of insulation , boiler replacement, smart heating and LEDs. lighting.

Bespoke co-founder and chief executive Steve Brennan said: “Since the program launched in 2014, CHiL has successfully secured over £35 million in funding, which has helped over 10,500 residents to save money with tips and energy saving measures.

“CHiL’s aim is to be Lancashire’s ‘one stop shop for heat’ offering help and assistance to every household in the county. But it’s really important that people can easily access the help available to them, c That’s why we applied several UX (User Experience) tactics in the design of the site to make it as easy to use as possible and ensure people can get the help they deserve.”
