Met Office weekend weather for Preston, Blackpool, Blackburn, Burnley and Lancaster

The coming weekend is expected to be hot and dry for the majority of the county with some showers expected in east Lancashire.

It comes after a thundering weather warning was issued by experts this week with ‘unusually strong winds for the season’ and downpours which are expected to cause high pollen counts. Those affected have been warned that pollen counts will be ‘high’ or ‘very high’ across England and Wales by Friday (June 10).

The weekend ahead looks a bit brighter though, with a particularly welcoming Friday evening with warmer temperatures and clear skies.
