Manchester City prospect Taylor Harwood-Bellis says he “enjoys” the captaincy responsibilities he takes on with the England U21s.
The Young Lions are preparing for four European Championship qualifiers in June, with City’s Harwood-Bellis leading them against the Czech Republic, Albania, Kosovo and Slovenia.
Harwood-Bellis was ever-present in the Championship with Stoke City during the second half of the season, which led to him being linked with moves to Burnley and Celtic this summer.

However, speaking to Sky Sports, the 20-year-old said he enjoys being captain of this England side. “I think every game we play with England is a must win,” he began.
“Obviously when you put on that England shirt wherever we play, we want to win and we feel we can win with the team we have. We go there like any other game, with the same confidence and the same conviction.
“I love being the captain and the leader of the team, but I’ve said before that each of these players is a leader. We have a huge squad and massive personalities in the team, so that makes it a lot easier for me. task. “
