Liam Kitching shared his thoughts ahead of our clash with the Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday night.
ON POSTPONED BOXING DAY FIXTURE
“I find it a bit disappointing because I think on Friday night (against West Bromwich Albion) we looked like a good team, and I thought we could take the positives from this game and build on it. The day after Christmas.
“It’s a huge thing in England to play Boxing Day.”
ON THE WEST BROM DRAW
“I think the defensive side of the game was really good; we put our bodies in danger and worked hard as a team, together. But we all know we have to be better in the bottom third and create more.
“We have to take the positives out of the game and build on them. “
DURING THE FIRST FULL SEASON OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP
“It’s hard to climb in the leagues, but I like it. I learn everyday and gain experience as I go.
“There is always room for improvement – I am very critical of myself; I find it hard to give myself more positives than negatives. But I think I’m fine.
“I like to go ahead and try to get involved in the attacks, but my first thought is always to defend and try to keep a clean sheet.”
ABOUT POYA ASBAGHI
“It was really good; I truly appreciate it. I think he’s arrived and implemented his style really well, and all the boys are buying into it, so I’m sure in the second half of the season we can really start and have some wins.
“He’s very passionate and positive which is good for a team like ours as we are a fairly young team and I think people thrive on the positivity and energy he brings to the team. team.”
ON THE SQUAD MENTALITY
“We have huge characters in the locker room and I feel like now, especially, they really come into play and it will show on the pitch.
“The game against West Brom just shows what we’re going to do to turn things around this season; we will fight and do whatever we can.
