Great Harwood men arrested following series of burglaries in Clitheroe

Five men have been arrested in connection with a major investigation into burglaries and vehicle break-ins.

The arrests are part of the police’s Operation Defender and were made at addresses in Hyndburn this morning (Thursday November 3rd).

The burglaries all took place in Clitheroe in October.

The five men, who are currently detained, were arrested for the following facts:

• A 19 year old man from Great Harwood arrested on suspicion of burglary.

• A 21-year-old man from Great Harwood arrested on suspicion of burglary and possession with intent to supply a class A drug.

• A 21 year old man from Rishton arrested on suspicion of burglary and supplying a controlled drug.

• A 27-year-old man from Great Harwood arrested on suspicion of burglary.

• A 19 year old from Great Harwood arrested on suspicion of burglary.

As part of ongoing investigations, police want to hear from anyone who recognizes the ring in the photographs.

A police spokesman said: ‘We are committed to fighting burglaries head-on, locking up offenders and keeping victims at the center of Operation Defender.’
