A Blackburn entrepreneur triumphed at a recent awards show, winning a trophy for his ‘fierce entrepreneurial spirit’.
Lee Chambers, who founded Essentialize Workplace Wellbeing, a bespoke wellness firm that helps small businesses strategize and deliver, was named North West Service Entrepreneur of the Year at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2021, held at Grosvenor House in London.
Mr Chambers, who recently won regional awards for his work with Essentialise, was praised for his resilience in the face of challenges, his fierce entrepreneurial spirit and his desire to create social impact through every business interaction.
He said: âI always struggle to find the words to explain how it feels to be recognized on such a big stage.
âI know these awards, from an entrepreneur’s perspective, are the gold standard in the UK, so I’m thrilled and overwhelmed to win, especially since we’ve just started, and it was the first time we attended.
âWhen the dust settles and I have had time to deal with it all, I think I will be extremely proud and even more determined to continue to provide high quality wellness to those who need it most. ”
The Great British Entrepreneur Awards were launched in 2012 to celebrate the best of British business, inviting founders from across the UK to apply with their entrepreneurial successes.
This year, after having to hold the awards virtually in 2020, organizers have brought together their eight regional presets for the first time, with a guest list of 1,200 entrepreneurs, judges, mentors, investors and partners invited to the London celebration. .
The awards were presented by a panel of industry experts and influential UK business leaders, including some of the winners from previous years.
Great British Entrepreneur Awards Founder Francesca James said: âIt was fantastic to hear so many inspiring business stories after a few difficult years, and even better to have been able to invite all of our finalists to the ceremony in person and celebrate together.
âWith over 1,200 participants, the evening was a real snapshot of the UK economy.
âThe winners were well deserved, overcoming stiff competition from their fellow finalists, and we look forward to welcoming them to our alumni community and seeing what they do next.
“It’s always exciting to see our previous winners achieve incredible things and I expect no less from this year’s winners, whom we will support throughout the process.”
The Great British Entrepreneur Awards recognize and support the hard work and inspiring stories of entrepreneurs and businesses across the UK.
Through the awards, alumni and participants join a community of founders and actors who provide support to inspire, learn and grow.
