UK music icons Elbow and Simply Red will headlining two of the additional five nights at the Lytham Festival next summer, as it has been revealed.
Simply Red will take the stage on Wednesday July 6th with Bury’s best Elbow headlining the following Thursday July 7th.
Festival director Peter Taylor said: “The Lytham Festival 2022 is shaping up to be an unforgettable year. We now have nine top class headliners and we still have one huge announcement to make.
“The addition of two British music icons with Elbow and Simply Red only strengthens our headlining performances and the fact that both artists are North West cultivated talents also makes this very strong for our company. law Project.

In 2022, the Lytham Festival will be a 10-day event that runs from Tuesday June 28 to Sunday July 10.
In addition to unveiling two other headliners, organizers have confirmed a number of supporting artists.
Simply Red will be joined by special guest Lisa Stansfield while Lytham Festival favorite and singer Marisha Wallace will open the show.
For Elbow, support will come from Richard Hawley.
Singer-songwriter Jack Savoretti will back Motown legend Diana Ross to kick off the festival on Tuesday June 28, Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi will be joined by Scottish singer Luke La Volpe on Wednesday the 29th and indie rockers Snow Patrol will be supported by Irish rock band Kodaline with singer-songwriter and musician Jade Bird opens her show on Thursday 30.
On Friday July 1, British music icons Duran Duran will be joined by electronic duo Goldfrapp and flamboyant rock band Walt Disco, while international superstar Lionel Richie will headline Saturday July 2 with the support of American band TLC while Craig Charles will kick off the party with his Funk & Soul Dj set.
It has already been announced that American rockers The Strokes will be backed by Irish post-punk group Fontaines DC on Friday July 8, while timeless favorites Tears For Fears will be joined by special guest Alison Moyet on Saturday July 9 with the Australian pop star Natalie. Imbruglia opens the show.
Details of the festival’s closing headliner will be revealed later.
