Burnley: Jordan North shares photos of his work at Rock FM

East Lancashire Radio 1 presenter Jordan North has shared some photos from his time on Rock FM.

Posting to his 735,000 Instagram followers, the Burnley boy wished radio station Rock FM a happy 40th birthday and recalled some of his favorite memories of working there.

Jordan said: “I loved working here, I always miss the staff, the listeners and especially the messy Christmas parties.”

Sharing a photo of himself standing next to a vehicle with his face on, he said, “I don’t miss that car.”

Among the images are a baby-faced Jordan at the Lytham Festival, on the back of a bus advertising Preston College, and a snap with his underpants exposed and jeans around his knees.

Jordan joined Rock FM in 2014 where he was appointed driving time presenter for Lancashire.

Here he was twice nominated for Radio Presenter of the Year at the Commercial Arqiva Radio Awards.

After freelancing for BBC Radio 5Live, he joined BBC Radio 1 in 2018.

The same year he started his own podcast, “Help I Sexted My Boss”, which was commissioned for a second series and sold out his first live show in less than 10 minutes.

Since sharing the photos, some longtime Jordan fans have left comments.

One person said, “I remember that car, loved listening to you on the ride.”

Another said: “Honestly I miss seeing you at all their events. I still have all the pictures of us and I remember exactly when you got that car.

“You break that buddy.”

“I miss this car,” said another. “Brew my spirits every time I saw him parked in the back.

“I remember my sister visiting me and asking me ‘what is this car?’

“I didn’t even look, I just said ‘it’s Jordan’.”

Clare Traynor said: “Happy days indeed Jordan. You know you secretly loved this car. Has there ever been a dull moment?
